The qualities of a good driver

Having a full driving license can be a game changer in many ways. Time is what we all need to focus on if the idea is to survive. If you are a jobseeker, remember, employers will always prefer applicants who posses a full driving license. The benefits of having a driving license are way too many. Having said that, it is equally important to ensure that the license is always retain by abiding by the Australian Traffic and Road Safety Laws.

A common belief by almost everyone who drives is that he/she is a good driver. The concept of good driving according to many of them is manoeuvre their car easily and in anyway they like on busy roads. This is where most of them have got it wrong. A good driver is the one who:

·       Possess qualities, characteristics, and understandings beyond the fact of how to drive.

·       They must be efficient in their approach and must constantly improve, when it comes the demonstration of character, knowledge and skill while driving, whether they are doing so on a busy road or in a quiet area.

·       Safety must be their key focal point both for them and others while driving.

The right attitude

Lacking in the right attitude may result in being classified as not a good driver, no matter how good the skills and understanding of driving one may have. It is the right attitude that enables one as a driver to stay tolerant and calm no matter what the situation is at the time of driving. A quality driver will never be angry, panicking, overly fearful, agitated, and impatient in times or emergency. He/she will be in the right frame of mind and will handle the situation by driving with the right attitude in a smooth way, making it easy for everyone involved in that situation. Such drivers are also blessed with realisation and self-awareness that no one is perfect, and they always are open to learn from their and others’ mistakes.

The Right Skill

As a driver one must have good grip on skills like, apply brakes, steering, changing gears (if driving a manual car), and accelerating smoothly. People who have the said skills enjoy double blessings, i.e., they are always safe on road and off road, they usually spend less money on the maintenance of their car. Driving in a rough passion is always risky to self and others out there, in addition, it also increases the chances of wear and tear to the vehicle which may result in faults that may lead to serious accidents.

The Right knowledge

A good driver will always be aware of what the law demands of him/her as a driver. It is very important that one as a driver keeps an eye on the changing road safety laws and driving conditions. Driving without knowing the right information will result in unwanted circumstances and penalties. It is, therefore, highly important that one gets driving lessons from accredited and professional instructors who can provide you with up-to-date driving lessons and knowledge that can help them to improve with each time they drive.
